Amazing victory for Borkovic on Hungaroring

NIS Petrol Racing team driver triumphed in the second ETCC race in Hungary.

The best Serbian race car driver Dušan Borković had an amazing start of ETCC season. NIS Petrol Racing team driver in B3 racing team's Seat Leon Cup Racer triumphed in the second race at Hungaroring after missing the victory in the first race due to a drive through penalty.

Serbian champion showed a great drive in Hungary after winning pole position on Saturday in qualifying. After races today he has 17 points in overall standings, only by a point behind Ferenc Ficza.

Borković showed he is going to be pretender for ETCC title after the great start in the first race, he didn't win only because of the drive through penalty.

It brought him back to 12th position but he managed to pass one by one car and finish 5th so he started 4th in race 2.

- In the first race I had a pole position but after the rough start I lost two positions. I noticed my competitors are faster on the straights because of the weight difference and I had to be more aggressive and I was punished. I don't know why because I didn't cause any of the accidents, I was just trying to race - Borkovic said after the first race.

Dusan was even more motivated and from the start of the second race he showed all of his talents and at the end of first lap he passed Ficza for the first position.

It became clear that he will win the race with his impressive driving.

- In the second race I came to the first position very early and i controlled the race. I am happy I got on the podium. But I could have won in both races. I hoped for the first place. I showed I am fast in the first race in the new car although my competitors were testing since January. I am fighting for the first place in overall standings. I am 1 point behind but I will be better and better - Borković promised.

Borković was even more impressive considering that he is 20 kg in average heavier than his competitors in Seats.

Borković had a lot of Serbian fans cheering him in Hungaroring as well as a lot of journalists from Serbia and his sponsors NIS.
